Following in the footsteps of Samuel Kelsey on the historic Kelsey Trail,  leaders from the Highlands Greenway led the Trail hike from Whiteside Mountain to the end of 5th Street. 

 

This four-and-a-half-mile moderate hike  through what was once the "Forest Primeval" included side trips to Leila's Rock in Wildcat Cliffs Country Club, Garnet Rock in Cullasaja Club, Whiteside View (Overlook) in Cullasaja Club, and an eagle's view of Highlands Falls.

 

The hike began at the parking lot behind the Recreation Center and concluded at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park.
